The Thanksgiving Outreach

I just wanted to add pictures of the Thanksgiving Outreach it was an amazing day with wonderful people and lots of help from so many! The Company President Mr.Malcolm bought so many turkey's for the program that there were enough to go around to more then a 1,000 families! we were actually on site all day on Nov 26th and the day before we were out and about moving food to trucks and getting vehicles ready for the event. 

The Aurora Pd and Denver PD were out with us helping hand out turkey's and food bags and the program through Heart of the world christian center.

you will see him throughout the photo's helping families during the day along with his donation we helped in the days before the event getting trucks loaded and ready with food and supplies for handing out. There was a chill in the air as you could tell but it was worth every minute!

These are just a few pictures but it was a great day filled with wonderful people and giving back was very fulfilling

Giving Thanks

Giving Thanks,

Through life sometimes we have to be reminded to give thanks for the beauty that is surrounding us.

Today is one of those days that we sit and  enjoy our family whoever they may be, be it strangers,family friends or all of the above. No matter where we are in our lives we should be thankful.

life has given us so much even with all of the negativity that we can find peeking around the corner. 

Yesterday we gave thanks and helped the less fortunate. It was a very fulfilling day with lots of wonderful people and an amazing outreach program set up. So today I give thanks even if everything isn't perfect is is exactly as it should be for the time being. 

Everyone has something to be thankful for even if they have nothing. I seen that yesterday and it has made me more thankful for the friends I have met the family that loves me even though I am not perfect and the people that have come into my life and shown me that it is ok to just be me. I hope everyone who finds this blog has had a good thanksgiving and gives thanks for whatever is special in your life.

  I have a love for coffee, I also have a love for beauty products and healthy alternatives to so much chemical stuff in our world. Self care is essential

Today I am talking about the importance of self care.

As a mother I remember a time when self care was not something I thought of, Then I realized I was unhappy and in turn that didn't help the household at all.... Yea forget about yourself and become angry and depressed and that is not a good mix with kids in the house. So taking care of your body helps you realize how much time you really don't spend on yourself and care for everyone else. You have to learn to take time for yourself no matter what is going on and realize you are worth that massage or scrub or facial even if your a stay at  home parent. whatever it is you have to remember self care is just as important to your health as your family being happy and healthy, so enjoy yourself a bit and don't feel guilty for buying yourself this or that, if it makes you happy you will be better for everyone including yourself.
